SUMMARY:LDA of PA Presents Early Literacy Tutoring
DESCRIPTION:LDA of PA is excited to offer its Early Literacy Instruction program for students in kindergarten through second grade at CLP – Hill District and CLP – Brookline. Older students that are reading at levels may also be tutored. Pairing up to four students per tutor and utilizing multi-sensory reading tutoring techniques\, this program teaches reading\, spelling\, and handwriting in fun\, interactive\, and multisensory ways. The curriculum includes sight words\, sound mastery\, letter formation\, phonics\, vocabulary\, fluency\, reading comprehension\, the alphabetic principle\, and more. \nStudents that need reading support at specific grade levels can join fun and interactive classes:   \nAt CLP – Brookline we offer tutoring Tuesday and Fridays 3-5 PM.   \nAt CLP – Hill District we offer tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5 PM. \nStudents will be expected to attend 2 sessions per week at their chosen library to make significant progress in their literacy skills. Registration is required. Once a student has registered\, LDA of PA will respond via email or phone to enroll the student in the appropriate class.
