DESCRIPTION:Join Appalachian quiltmaker and storyteller Griffin Nordstrom for a hands-on exploration of quilting at CLP-West End. Griffin’s work explores themes of reuse through craft and reinterpreting history through a contemporary lens\, and these workshops invite you to do the same. \nParticipants will learn about a variety of quilting styles while contributing to a collaborative community quilt. All skill levels are welcome\, and you’re free to attend as many or as few sessions as you like. Materials and tools will be provided\, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer! Registration is required. \n\nLearn a valuable tool for creative quilting while developing a stronger eye for color and pattern in sewing arrangements. This adult-oriented workshop provides materials and guidance to explore collage-making as an accessible creative practice and inspiration for quilting.
