LDA of PA is excited to offer its Early Literacy Instruction program for students in kindergarten through second grade at CLP – Hill District and CLP – Brookline. Pairing up to four students per tutor and utilizing multi-sensory reading tutoring techniques, this program teaches reading, spelling, and handwriting in fun, interactive, and multisensory ways. The curriculum includes sight words, sound mastery, letter formation, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, reading comprehension, the alphabetic principle, and more.
Students that need reading support at specific grade levels can join fun and interactive classes:
At CLP – Brookline we offer tutoring Mondays and Wednesdays 3:15-4 PM ; and Tuesdays and Fridays 3-5 PM.
At CLP – Hill District we offer tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5 PM.
Students will be expected to attend 2 sessions per week at their chosen library to make significant progress in their literacy skills. Registration is required.
