Social influence, social cognition, group dynamics, and social relationships. Key areas of study include understanding concepts such as conformity, obedience, attitudes and persuasion, prejudice and stereotypes, and the factors that drive aggression, attraction, and prosocial behavior (helping others). We can learn how to analyze our own and others’ behaviors, recognize the role of social situations in shaping actions, and understand how broader societal concerns are impacted by social psychological processes.
