Blue Career 

Blue Career is an online career exploration platform designed for individuals interested in skilled trades and hands-on careers. Explore opportunities in fields such as construction, manufacturing, transportation, utilities, and more. The platform provides information on local employers, apprenticeship programs, training providers, industry certifications, salary expectations, and current job openings to help users begin or advance a career in the trades. 

Career Cruising 

Career Cruising is an online career exploration resource that helps users discover careers based on their interests, skills, and experience. Take career assessment quizzes, explore hundreds of occupations, learn about education and training requirements, compare salaries, and review employment outlooks to help identify a career path that aligns with your goals. 

Gale Presents: Peterson’s Test and Career Prep 

Gale Presents: Peterson’s Test and Career Prep provides comprehensive test preparation resources for academic, professional, and career advancement exams. Access practice tests, study guides, tutorials, and preparation materials for college admissions, graduate school, military entrance exams, professional licensing and certification exams, high school equivalency tests, and career readiness assessments. 

LinkedIn Learning 

LinkedIn Learning offers thousands of expert-led video courses designed to help you develop professional and technical skills. Learn at your own pace with courses covering business, leadership, communication, project management, technology, software applications, creative skills, and more. Whether you’re preparing for a new career, building workplace skills, or expanding your knowledge, LinkedIn Learning provides flexible, on-demand training. 

Udemy 

Udemy is an online learning platform offering thousands of self-paced courses across more than 75 subject areas. Develop in-demand skills in business, technology, data analysis, programming, artificial intelligence, marketing, design, and personal development. Courses are taught by industry professionals and are designed to help learners upskill, prepare for career advancement, or explore new interests through practical, hands-on instruction.

The Job and Career Education Center provides access to circulating and reference materials within the major subject categories listed below. 

Resume & Cover Letter

Find books and guides that provide practical advice on writing effective resumes and cover letters, tailoring application materials to specific positions, and creating professional documents that stand out to employers. 

Test Books 

Prepare for academic admissions, professional certifications, and career advancement with study guides, practice exams, and review materials for a variety of standardized and licensing tests. 

Financial Aid

Explore resources that explain scholarships, grants, student loans, and other financial assistance opportunities. This section also includes guides to paying for college, workforce training, and continuing education.
