PPS Read Quest

Read Quest is a winter reading challenge for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Pittsburgh Public School (PPS) students. From December 1 to February 28, every PPS 1st – 3rd grade classroom participates in a joyful – and competitive – celebration of reading! 

During the challenge, teachers log minutes to encourage a reading habit of 20 minutes a day with an over goal for each student to read 500 minutes. 

Last year, students logged over 1.2 MILLION minutes, and we celebrated the classrooms that read the most through a pizza party with our beloved mascot, Andrew Cardnegie. 

This year there will be more students, more opportunities to log reading, and more prizes to earn along the way!
