This facilitated group learning program will help kids learn about the history of flower symbolism in the LGBTQ+ community. Kids will have an opportunity to make paper versions of some of these flowers or make a bookmark using flower stickers. This event is part of our Pride 2026 programming.

Cuddle up with 30 minutes of stories, songs and action rhymes that develop early literacy skills in children. Pajamas optional! For children ages birth to five years and their caregivers.
Children will learn about CLP’s LAMP (Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians) location and how staff makes reading and art accessible for patrons with disabilities. They will also learn about braille and how to create tactile art that those with visual impairments will be able to appreciate. During this program, teens will learn how visual design can be more accessible to people with visual and cognitive impairments and disabilities. Teens will design an accessible poster following basic accessibility guidelines for people with visual and cognitive impairment and disabilities.
