After her husband and son died at the turn of the 20th century, Sarah B. Cochran became an unlikely business competitor of Henry Clay Frick’s, as well as a philanthropist builder, frat house namesake, and suffragist. This book talk will cover Sarah’s path from Fayette County farmer’s daughter to industrialist, and the opportunities that genealogists and local historians have to bring stories like Sarah’s to a larger audience.
